2022 has been a very interesting year, and it is finally coming to a close. To start 2023 off positively, we at MamaBear wanted you to know there are resources out there if you or your family need assistance from community resources to food banks and well-being providers.
First and foremost, it does take a village and there are many places to turn to for support. No one should navigate difficult times alone and even a whole family can feel isolated. If you need help the best advice is do not be afraid to ask for it. If you and your family are not in a place of need, then consider some of these places as ways you can give back!

Churches and Libraries
One of the best places to start asking for help is a local church. Most churches will provide families with the information or the supplies needed. Many churches have food pantries available for communities to access, not just members. Many resources may require some research to find them. If you need assistance finding internet access, most local libraries are open and provide free internet.
The US Department of Agriculture is a great place to get information about food and nutrition services. They have programs such as SNAP, WIC, TEFAP, CSFP, FDPIR, & USDA Foods
WIC, the Women, Infants, and Children program “provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.”

Goodwill is very beneficial when looking for assistance in finding a job. They have centers that help you find work, create a resume, and can even provide additional job training. Goodwill will help you with proper attire for the job by providing you with a clothing voucher. While you are in Goodwill simply ask for a store manager. CDC has simple information about Covid 19 and how to properly care for yourself during the pandemic. There you will find proper use of a mask, wearing gloves, cleaning your home, and proper social distancing.
